2017 is always going to be a year that I will look back on with a huge smile. On a personal level, my wife Maria and I celebrated our 10th year of marriage this year. I always say that I would never be in the position that I am in today if it wasnβt for her direction, guidance, love and support. On a professional level, I accomplished a goal that I had not yet even set for myself, which was speaking at Adorama to other fellow photographers about my passion. My first visit to Adorama NYC was in July where I was given the opportunity to speak on Wacom Tablets and how I use them in my Wedding Photography business. It was an amazing and terrifying experience all at the same time. I was shocked to see how much support I had received with friends and colleagues making the trip into NYC to attend and the turnout at the event was incredible. Having attended free events at Adorama in my earlier years as a growing photographer, it was surreal to be in the position of educator this time around. I made it through the event and was so happy when Adorama asked me to return a few months later.
This time around I chose to speak about Tips and Advice for Assistants and Second Shooters. I wanted to speak to a group who perhaps was looking for some guidance on how to get started and once again, the turnout and response was incredible. Iβm blessed to have this opportunity to share my experiences and hope to have many more opportunities to do so in 2018. If youβve stuck around this long, thank you so much for the support. I appreciate it more than youβll ever know!
